Chamblee/Doraville Apartment Buildings

Chamblee and Doraville are DeKalb County cities northeast of Atlanta, strung along Peachtree Boulevard and Buford Highway at the north end of MARTA’s Gold line. Buford Highway through both cities is known for its concentration of immigrant-owned restaurants and markets. Chamblee has a small rail-adjacent downtown and an antique district on Peachtree Road; Doraville holds the former General Motors assembly plant site, now being redeveloped as Assembly Yards. DeKalb-Peachtree Airport sits between the two.

The 10 buildings listed here hold roughly 4,500 apartments, completed between 1972 and 2024. The median year is 1988, six predate 2000 and three have opened since 2020 — older garden communities alongside recent construction near the stations. The median building has three floors and the tallest has nine. Seven of the ten are near MARTA rail on the Gold line — four closest to Doraville, the line’s northern terminus, and three to Chamblee — and the other three have no rail station within two miles.
