Perimeter/Dunwoody/Sandy Springs Apartment Buildings

Perimeter Center straddles I-285 at Georgia 400 and is the largest suburban office market in metro Atlanta, with State Farm, Cox and Mercedes-Benz USA among its corporate tenants and Perimeter Mall at its center. Sandy Springs and Dunwoody, on either side of it, incorporated as cities in 2005 and 2008. The Pill Hill medical complex — Northside Hospital, Emory Saint Joseph’s and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta — sits just inside the Perimeter at Johnson Ferry Road.

The 20 buildings listed here hold roughly 11,300 apartments, the largest apartment count of any neighborhood in this directory and the one delivered in the fewest floors. The median year is 1989, seventeen of the twenty predate 2000 and none has been completed since 2020. The tallest has seven floors and the median has three: these are large garden-style communities on large sites. Thirteen of the twenty are near a Red line station — North Springs, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs or Medical Center — three on the eastern side are closest to Doraville on the Gold line, and the other four have no rail station within two miles.
